Protagonist - 2021 Arts & Drafts /// Promo Package

This marketing package was one of a few that I’ve done for Protagonist. They’re a local brewery that puts on occasional public events, this one being an art-focused market with a collaborative street art piece at it’s center. They signed on a bunch of local artist to come in and art-up a big structure while small vendors, live music, and food trucks surrounded it all. Pretty cool thing.

Since they’re a brewery I obviously wanted to make that an important factor in the design. But it’s also a very artistic production, so I attempted to marry those two things together by way of imagery and type. I decided to draw most of the visuals by hand, then later coming in and adding the supportive text. Luckily, there were a few cool parallels between those two worlds. Spray paints vs beer cans, pizza cheese vs paint, etc. I wanted to give the design a very dense and full effect to emulate how much would be going on that day, so I packed as many details as I could into the illustration.
